Bogart and Bacall, the legendary lovers, make their first screen appearance together in this tale of smuggling and survival. Bogart plays a gun-running skipper who undertakes a dangerous, political mission to raise money for his girlfriend. Dark passage features a bandaged Bogart who, in trying to hide from the law has undergone back-street cosmetic surgery. Even though he does not appear from behind the bandages until half way through the film that famous voice gives him away! Watch out for the superb use of first person camera work. Both these films are classics in every sense of the word.
