Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality. On their own, without the guidance or protection of their professors and increasingly overwhelmed by the power of the dark forces gathering, the trio's fear, helplessness and anger begins to turn inward for the first time in their long, inseparable friendship. This, the penultimate Harry Potter film, is by far and away the darkest, the glorious fantasy sharing a grim present day reality. A blemishless CGI extravaganza reminiscent of ‘ The Empire Strikes Back’ in tone. Await the light (hopefully) of part 2.
