Machete is a former Mexican Federale who plays by his own rules, and doesn't answer to anybody; but after a disastrous raid on a ruthless drug lord Machete’s world falls apart. Not long later we find him in Texas as a hard up illegal immigrant, but as fate would have it he’s provided with an opportunity for bloody revenge. An amazingly high profile cast struggle/fail to make a dent in Rodriquez’s latest ironic ‘Grindhouse’ offering. Nicely choreographed carnage still can’t make up for the slim pickings everywhere else.
