In this perfectly timed follow on to Oliver Stone’s late 80’s satirical mantra to ‘greed’, we pretty much ignore the economic melt down and the avarice of the banking world and focus instead on a bit of father/son melodrama, and a chunk of “I’ll get you back for that you swine” revenge. The only one who comes out of this overly long, overwrought drama is Douglas, who, despite having been around for the birth of film, still oozes reptilian charm as Gekko.
