A deadly virus erupts in Scotland, turning those that survive into drooling cannibalistic nutters and so the Scots get barricaded in and left to there own unpromising devices. 27 years later the virus breaks out in London and, in a desperate attempt to find a cure, an elite force of scientists and squaddies are sent to reconnoitre the Highlands and Lowlands of Bonnie Prince Charlie's homeland. "Doomsday" is a curious, if ridiculous, fast paced amalgam of ‘28 Days Later', ‘Resident Evil' and ‘Mad Max'. An entertainingly gruesome enough way to pass a couple of hours from the director who brought you 'Dog Soldiers' and ‘The Descent'.
