Young Elizabeth has just had her heart broken and while recovering from the anger and pain with a Zen like barman she decides to sets off on an odyssey across North America. Ultimately Elizabeth is in search of herself but on her travels meets characters who have become far more lost and disconnected with their life than she. My Blueberry Nights is the awesome Wong Kar Wai's first English Language film and while it hangs onto his visual style, the stunning nature of his earlier tales, Chunking Express and 2046 to name but two, are strangely but acutely lacking.
