Maybe the world's first animated mockumentary follows the fortunes of Cody, a surfing Rockhopper penguin who is on his way from his hometown of Shiverpool in Antartica to take part in the Big Z Memorial Surf Off. Although it fails to resist the seemingly mandatory injection of schmaltz, Surf's Up is still one of the better animated flicks, with a humourous script that is as much for the older members of the audience as it is for the kids.
