Ripley is a young man with a single minded determination to make his fortune and he's unfettered by the constraints of morality or social conscience. Philippe Greenleaf is the object of his desire, a charismatic playboy at large in the hedonism of 60s Roma. Having eased himself into Philippe's world Ripley gradually steals the man's identity, a job he sets about with cold, psychotic charm. Plein Soleil is an immensely stylish and intense thriller, adapted from Patricia Highsmith's novel, with a mesmerising performance from Delon in the central role.
