Review
Dewey Finn is a delusional loser, obsessed by rock and roll, on the wrong side of thirty, and still kipping on his friend's floor, much to the disgust of said mate's girlfriend. When Dewey blags himself a position as substitute teacher at a prestigious private school, his expectations of the kids are considerably less than their expectations of him, but when Dewey hears the privileged little darlings in their music lesson life takes on coherent meaning. These gifted young things are Dewey's passport out of fantasy and into reality: he will teach them to feel the rock, love the rock and most important of all sweep him to glory at the upcoming ‘Battle of the Bands'. School Of Rock is a gurning, sociopathic tour de force by Jack Black, a gun-to-the-head robbery of every scene he's in (and he's pretty much in them all). Dangerously quotable and impossible not to enjoy.
