Nick Tellis, a narcotics officer on suspension, is man who's become so tightly rapped in his job that his personal life is about to make a determined run for freedom before he kills it. After the death of an under- cover detective Nick is offered the chance to team up with the dead man's partner, Henry Oak, a tough on the edge copper, whose police work follows the motto "The means justify the ends". Together these two mismatched men hunt for a cop killer, but when nobody is telling the whole truth, the misunderstandings may just be lethal.
