James Clayton is a computer whiz and one of the most sought after graduates in the country, Walter Burke is an intelligence agency veteran and James is just the kind of new blood he's looking for. The young lad's ability soon sees him excelling at his new profession, but the more he learns the more he begins to doubt the validity of Walters' clandestine world. However, it's not until James's first major assignment to root out a mole that he realises just how murky, duplicitous and dangerous things really are. If you can ignore the fact that someone as bright as James is supposed to be could spend so much time being quite so clueless you will find 'The Recruit' a slick twisty action thriller.
