Review
Meg Altman has recently divorced from her very wealthy husband and with her teenage daughter buys an enormous house in one of NewYork's most salubrious areas. What wins the sale is a panic room imbedded within the house, a sought of human sized self-sealing safe to protect its occupants from any unwanted intruders. Meg finds a need for this room considerably sooner than she would have liked when three robbers break into the house, unfortunately for all, what they're after is within the four walls of her re-enforced cubbyhole. Panic Room is a sharp, tense thriller from the same director as "Seven" and though it lacks that films diabolical originality and style, it's still head and shoulders above your usual Hollywood fare.
