Set in medieval times; a king regularly sacrifices virgins to a dragon to prevent it from laying waste to his kingdom. An old wizard and his apprentice volunteer to kill the dragon and attempt to save the next virgin in line - the King's own daughter.
This film remains one of the best magic-and-monster fantasy films on the market, it has its rough patches - the special effects aren't up to modern standards - but 'Dragonslayer' is a fun and gripping tale.

When the Vikings first landed on the soil of North America, they burnt pillaged and legged it, but not before abandoning one of their own children. Years later and the Norsemen are back for a bit of the same, but their forgotten son, raised and cared for by the indigenous people, is having none of it and an epic battle of wills begins. Framed by a wicked courtier Prince Dastan is forced to flee to the desert with just a camel, a bad-tempered princess and a mystical dagger.
Adapted from a video game this is a fast paced sword and sandal fantasy action movie. Cliched, rubbishy, but fun.
