HANCOCK (2008)

Certification12 Our Rating

Hancock is an angry, frustrated, embittered alcoholic, that he also happens to be a superhero seems to be slipping down his list of priorities, along with the appreciation of the great American public. It is only when Hancock meets an idealistic PR man (eh?!) that his fortunes take a turn for the better, but, with his new found sobriety, Hancock is also forced to face his long forgotten past. Based on Steve Gerber's subversively hilarious comics, this film is not only one of the worst and most expensive films of the 1980s, it's also, perversely, one of the most sought after. Agonisingly ill-conceived this tale of a gobby extra-terrestrial duck reluctantly faced with saving the world is so truly awful it's almost hypnotic…..go on….risk it. find out more...

Great fun for the kids, prehaps a tad soporific for the parents...at least the little darlings find out more...

New York teenager Dave decides to become a superhero like those that he's read about in comics and soon finds himself drawn into the battle between Big Daddy, his 10-year-old killing machine of a daughter Hit-Girl and crime overlord Frank D'Amico.
Full of comic strip references this is a brilliant, profane, over-the-top, ultra-violent, hyper-action Kick-Ass movie. find out more...
