A group of privileged, white, middle class teenagers are attracted to the cities black hip-hop community and in particular Rich Bower, following them into this new world are a fly on the wall filmmaking team documenting the curiosity, scepticism, naïvety and culture clash between all concerned. Black and White is an intriguing movie, and very stylised.

Set in Pennsylvania, the tale follows director/video store clerk Cheryl through arguments with her co-producer, make out sessions with her new flame, as well as run-ins with staff at the Center for Lesbian Information and Technology (CLIT).
