Preposterous but very entertaining paranormal-actioner, presided over by a tangle of giant squid. A bunch of thieves, led by Treat Williams, board a luxury cruise liner in the South Seas, only to find that all the passengers have had the water sucked out of them by an unknown entity (the aforementioned squid). So it's no great surprise when Treat's gang, poking around in the pitch black floating morgue, begins to diminish in numbers at an alarming rate. Deep in the Louisiana Bayou something big and scaley lurks........and its hungry! A mix of hokey locals, buff scientists and too-rich-to-think-straight hunters face off against genetically engineered fish that are just as efficient at dispatching humans on the land as they are in the water. With some flaky CGI and a noticeable lack of tension in some of the action sequences, Frankenfish is still more fun than it should be and represents an above average addition to the creature-feature genre. find out more...
