Fellini's first solo feature is a delighfully light satire that follows a honeymooning couple in Rome. The wife yearns for her romantic ideal, the White Sheik, a cartoon character whilst the disconsolate husband strikes up a rapport with a friendly prostitute. Agreeably abrasive, and great fun.
