The educated eater is back, and living the life of the free. Dr Hannibal Lecter is now residing in Florence but he still preys on the mind of FBI agent Clarice Starling and one of the main courses from his early years, a terribly mutilated tycoon determined to exact an equally perverse revenge. Hannibal is an incredibly slick movie, the first half playing well as a cat and mouse thriller, the second half losing the plot slightly but making up for it with a terrifically brooding Florence and some remarkable dinners, (if you know what I mean).
