Anjelica Houston directs and stars in this heartwarming tale of a recently widowed mother bringing up her seven children in 1969 Dublin. Agnes Brown's constant struggle to keep her family together, fed and clothed are nicely realised, as is the gentle wit that runs throughout the film.
