A rehash of John Cassavetes' excellent 1980 thriller, with Sharon Stone filling Gena Rowlands' shoes as Gloria. A brassy, brazen gangter's moll, Gloria reluctantly takes in a neighbour's impossibly cute kid (Jean-Luke Figueroa), when his family are wiped out by the Mob, and pretty soon the pair are on the run with a bundle of dodgy Mafia accounts. A glossy, slickly-directed update with plenty of action.
