Fans of Hal Hartley (Simple Men, Trust, The Unbelievable Truth) will know what to expect from this off-kilter comedy. Simon Grim is a simple binman, struggling to support his dysfunctional family in smallsville USA, whose life is changed by the arrival in town of one Henry Fool. The aptly named Fool, an egomaniac writer with delusions of grandeur, takes Simon under his wing, declaring him to be a literary genius and encouraging him to express himself through writing. But the men's roles are reversed when Henry is dismissed as the prat he is, while Simon's porno poetry is published on the Internet, turning him into an overnight star.
