Simon Stylites, to be nearer to God, has perched on a pillar for years and provided an inspiration to the surrounding people and a resolute defiance to the temptations, including a very tempting Silvia Pinal, of the Devil. However the Devil gets the last laugh after transporting him to a modern-day New York night-club. Wonderfully blasphemous.
