Rather more up-beat than the recent "Husbands.." this is a return to the invigorating and imaginative Allen of old. The plot revolves around one night in small European brothel cira the 1920s. Part murder-mystery, part classic comedy the monochrome effect works well, and the dialogue sparkles.
