Grunting and behaving like apes, a suburban family's peace and equilibrium is interrupted by the appearance of a second alpha male. Throwing satire, cake, faecal matter and other such crap at one another, the actors are clearly having a swell time sending up the absurdity of society and family values. Though the first twenty minutes offer a rollicking good time the premise, and its 'sub'text, soon wears thin. Directorial debut from Steve Oram who you're more likely to remember for his performances in Ben Wheatley films (Kill List, Sightseers) and the like.
