Typical story: boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy is unable to articulate himself properly when in girl's presence. The difference here is that the boy in question, 'R', is a zombie who's midway through chomping through said girl's boyfriend's brains. More Romeo and Juliet than Romero, Warm Bodies's undead feet are placed firmly in teen romance territory, creating a smart metaphor for adolescent angst and self-doubt, and while neither as inventive or as outright funny as fellow rom-zom-coms Braindead and Shaun of the Dead, it nevertheless has plenty of charm in its own right.
