Paul Giamatti plays himself as a New York actor rehearsing for a part in Uncle Vanya. With typical NY angst, wound up and depressed, he reads about how putting his soul in cold storage will lighten the load. Sooner or later he, of course, wants his soul back only to find that, as an American actor, his valuable soul, renamed Al Pacino, now resides in a Russian gangster's moll.
An amusing, well acted and intelligent re-hash of Faust and 'Being John Malkovitch'
