This 'reboot' (read highly expensive yet inherently pointless re-imagining) of the original 'Friday The 13th' films begins with a group of wayward youths camping out for a weekend involving sex and drugs until Jason appears and spoils all their joyously sinful fun. The final girl at this stage in the film, Whitney, is kidnapped and kept hostage by Jason due to her striking resemblance to his mother, the infamous Mrs Voorhees. Then, six weeks later, her devoted brother and an easily disposable ensemble of other youngsters find themselves partying in ‘His' woods. What follows is a reasonably gory, yet unoriginal, string of splatter sequences in amongst some rather unconvincing acting performances.
