The lives of four LA women are changed forever by the discovery of a dead body. A woman, miserable in her circumscribed life caring for her domineering mother is the one who finds the girl. Another, believing the body to be her long missing sister, is somehow liberated. An older woman, married to a man who pays her little attention, finds darkly relevant evidence in a storage unit. The mother of the dead girl, who had left home some years before, visits the last place her daughter lived and makes her own discoveries. Finally we flash back to the victim's last day and the pieces of the puzzle begin to slip into place. An intelligent, original and gripping drama.
