Australia in the 1960s; four orphaned boys, all close friends, go on holiday to a beach resort, but their friendship is tested to the limit, and in some cases beyond, when they find themselves competing to be taken in by a single couple who are looking to adopt one of them. Adapted from Michael Noonan's novel, ‘December Boys' garnered most attention for starring Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe, but is a nicely understated drama in its own right.
