Terry is at odds with life, her husband has run a way with the secretary and her four daughters, on the cusp of womanhood, are not prepared to cut her a break. Enter Denny, Terry's next door neighbour and an initially unlikely drinking partner and confidant. Together the two, each in their own way equally needy, find strength in one another and possibly even the chance to get a second grasp of happiness. 'Upside Of Anger' is a nicely tart drama, sharply directed by Mike Binder and with a pitch perfect performance from Joan Allen as the movie's frustrated heroine.
