When Matt finds Jenny he thinks that maybe he's found a great, if slightly odd, girlfriend, but Jenny has secrets and only one of them is that she's a super-hero, the others have a more detrimental effect on their relationship. Matt decides to break things off, which kicks off the old 'woman scorned' thing, and leaves him fighting for his very life. My Super Ex-Girlfriend is an engaging premise, but ends up just working as ‘Fatal Attraction' for laughs; some phoned-in performances, no sexual chemistry and a whiff of misogynistic wish fulfilment completes the disappointment. There are some funny bits, it's just the bits in-between I have issue with.
