Remember Jack Black's scene chewing genius in School Of Rock? Well some bright spark decided to do it for real. KISS front man Gene Simmons (a god of self promotion) is recruited to turn a group of musically-able young public school pupils into a rock outfit that will stand the wrath of a crowd of ‘Motorhead' disciples (half of whom probably are ex-public school boys). Rock School is a surprisingly likable documentary, thanks mainly to the kids involved, who seem to develop their rock chops despite rather than because of Simmons' influence.
