Whilst conducting a house to house search for a missing kid, a detective is taken hostage by a dysfunctional band of crooks in the final stages of planning a bank robbery. Left bound and gagged with only the leader's girlfriend watching over him a bond develops between criminal and captive that in turn throws up the possibility of a sting. No Good Deed is an adaptation of Dashiell Hammett's The House On Turk Street, but it's a strangely soulless and unconvincing affair.
