A fascinating and blindingly original movie concept that utilises a four split screen shot continuously over 90 minutes and with a dialogue that is largely improvised. Mike Figgis' experimental drama is set in LA around a casting audition that takes in not only the shallow nature of its subject matter but also romance and even murder. "Timecode" is a movie screaming to be labelled pretentious but Figgis manages to create a tale that is both gripping and ingenious.
