J-Lo plays a maid at a prestigious New York hotel who gets mistaken for a guest by a handsome, single, principled senator to be, who falls in love with her. There's no humour, the script feels like its 'Barbie's' first school essay, and as for the two protagonists there's more chance of getting a spark with a match in a monsoon. Maid In Manhattan has been done so many times before and with considerably more charm that apart from the dubious attraction of its star there is no real incentive to invite it into the privacy of your own home.
