A young lad is inadvertently responsible for unleashing a dormant brood of dragons from the depths of London and said scaley ones set about decimating the world as we know it, in particular us. Moving on twenty years and the boy is now leader of a small rag tag community, doomed to a life of fear until a mad American in a tank arrives to give them some backbone. Reign of Fire is as daft as post-apocalyptic, fantasy action movies get (and lets be honest that's going some), but the special effects are good as are the action scenes and McConaughey makes a great over the top, gung-ho, bug-eyed nutter.
