Banned for 25 years by the BBFC. The plot is pretty straight forward, five innocent and unappealing youngsters fall into the hands of chainsaw wielding cannibals on the plains of Texas. The end result is a nightmarish and strangely compelling film. With its implied violence 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' proved that a film can be terrifying without the gore.
