Liz Lemon, (Tina Fey) is the head writer on a variety series on NBC Studios. With the Jack Donaghy as Vice President of East Coast Television, played by Alec Baldwin, Series four sustains the same standard that has maintained it so far with plenty of exceptional moments. The characters are still all hugely dysfunctional and written with enormous affection and comic effect. The situations beautifully constructed. This set contains all the episodes from the show’s fourth series.

Tim Robbins wrote, directed and stars in a film that exposes very cleverly the underbelly of US politics. He plays the charismatic Roberts, a right-wing "protest" singer, whose views begin to capture the nation's interest. Sinister machinations abound behind the scenes, and the documentary style works well. Funny too!

Hilarious Hollywood spoof about an intense independent film director, who is in love with the fatalistic leading actress, a pretentious cinematographer and an egomaniac leading actor, amongst others, trying to make a film, no mean feat when the cameraman wears an eyepatch, the actors are shagging, but not speaking, and the director's got a goatee beard! This is also a fine independent movie about some of the real technical and other problems that can affect the making of a film. find out more...

Maggie, the lead character, believes it's really Lanyard Gates, a crazed film maker who killed his family live on stage fifteen years ago. And now he's back to kill his daughter, Sara, who is believed to really be Maggie.

Superlative horror that blends great diy special effects, cinephilia and frights with aplomb. AN find out more...

This masterpiece by Preston Sturges is perhaps the finest movie-about-a-movie ever made. Hollywood director John Sullivan, tired of churning out lightweight comedies, decides to make "O, Brother, Where Art Thou?" - a serious, socially responsible film about human suffering. After his producers point out that he knows nothing of hardship, Joel hits the road as a hobo. While on his travels the director finds the lovely Veronica Lake, and more trouble than he ever imagined. Some truly inspired set find out more...

All time classic wonderfully filmed by Wilder, featuring great performances from Holden, as a bankrupt screenwriter seeking refuge, and Swanson, a faded star in a crumbling mansion, who pins her hopeless hopes of a comeback on the writer. Deliriously dark and nightmarish masterpiece. find out more...

A brooding epic, exposing the darker side of Hollywood and the winner of 5 Oscars. The stories of a star, a writer and a director, all "made" by a ruthless producer (Douglas), and all disowning him now that they've reached their pinnacles of success, are told in retrospect. Ice-queen Lana Turner is superb as the sex kitten who, once she reaches the top, turns into a cat.
