Factory Records, the Hacienda club, Tony Wilson, Happy Mondays, etc, etc. '24 Hour Party People' is an affectionate and humorous trip through Manchester's monster music scene in the 80s and 90s. The soundtrack as you'd expect is blinding and Steve Coogan's portrayal of Wilson is spooky. A film that stands on it's own as an excellent near tragi-comedy, but within its historical context... it's bloody mad!

An award winning film full of baroque splendour. The talented composer Antonio Salieri found himself in competition with Mozart, a genius, and he couldn't understand why God favored such a vulgar creature to be his instrument. Salieri turned into a hate-filled monster, whose aim in life became to ruin his colleague, but he emerges as a tragic and sympathetic character. He alone could appreciate the perfection of Mozart's music and, perhaps, he speaks up for all of us whose talents fall short of find out more...

The friendship between respective founders, Anton Newcombe and Courtney Taylor, escalated into bitter rivalry as the Dandy Warhols achieved major international success while the Brian Jonestown Massacre imploded in a haze of drugs, band in-fighting and unchecked egotism. find out more...

Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff more than holds his own in this now cult-classic. An inspired and brilliant mockumentary recounting the history of a crap British heavy metal group and following them on a disastrous tour of the US. This movie takes apart every cliche that ever graced a rock documentary and every vanity or folly to haunt overblown rock groups. So realistic that American audiences thought the band was real... Voted third funniest film by Observer readers in a 2007 poll. find out more...
