'Until now, we've only touched the surface', that's what they say anyway. Apparently there's a lot of undiscovered stuff down in the deep blue sea that up until now, mankind just hasn't had the know-how to get a look at. Expect to see stuff that will have you leaping out of your armchair, shouting 'What the bloody hell is that?!' and 'Jesus, that thing looks like a bogey with fairy lights on it!'. One thing which threw me was the total absence of David Attenborough, his replacement is Michael Ga find out more...

JAM (2000)

After the uproar surrounding the paedophile episode of Chris Morris's last show "Brasseye", there was suprisingly little response to the release of his next warped venture - "Jam". Jam is basically a comedy sketch show - it just happens to make light of some very, very, very dark and nasty things. It is also beautifully shot and uses some great techniques which add to the general mood of darkness and evil perfectly, it's obvious a lot of time was spent in post production on this puppy. Disillusioned stand up comedian and writer Rick's career has not gone the way he had planned; hosting corporate events and appearing on second-rate daytime chat shows was not the future he had had in mind for himself. Worse still he's stuck with a lousy stage name that he chose twenty years ago. A dry, pathos riddled TV series about a charmless man who pretty much asks for everything he gets. find out more...

A delicious piss take of the Open University science programs of the 1970's, a rich vein of humour first touched upon in the Fast Show. Why can't ghosts whistle? How do ants build an igloo? All these question and more will be answered by these devoted seekers of the secular truth. Ace. ZZTOP find out more...

Watch in wonderment as Louis makes another foray into some bizarre American sub-cultures. In 'wrestling', he visits the 'power plant' where WWF wanabes beef up and learn the trade. More hilarity when the head of the training school takes offence at Louis' quesions and tries to teach a him a lesson. In 'hypnosis' Louis meets some con-artists who claim to use hypnosis to help people become millionaires. And the thousands of people who buy it. Two classic Louis episodes. find out more...

Once again Louis Theroux supplies an entertaining foray into the culturally off-beat. Swingers is a hilarious, if not a tad grotesque examination of a group of 'wife swappers' in Southern California. As ever, the comedy arises from Louis' sardonic reactions to the characters he meets, allowing us to laugh with him at the freaks he presents. South Africa is less successful. Reminicent of Nick Broomfield's 'The Leader, his driver and his drivers wife', Louis delivers a rather less in depth program find out more...
