PC Nicholas Angel is the best of the best, in fact he's so damn good he's making his fellow Metropolitan colleagues look inept, there's only one answer, ship him off to a sleepy West Country village. Playing against time, like Memento, this is a gut wrenching exploration of an horrific act of indiscriminate brutality and the vicious revenge that is its consequence. Irreversible is an exceptionally powerful movie and one of the most disturbing pieces of cinema I've ever seen (the tortuously protracted rape scene would have Ghandi screaming for the death penalty). Awesome....but you have been warned.

Once you get over yourself and accept that that Welsh accent tumbling from Tom Hardy’s handsome pie hole is actually pretty spot on, you can buckle up and fly right alongside construction worker Ivan Locke (played by TH), as he navigates the s-bends of the sum parts of his existence, from the confines of his BMW X5, while in transit to his future one.
