A great white shark hunts the crew of a capsized sailboat along the Great Barrier Reef. Owing a debt to the no-budget thrills of 2003's Open Water, The Reef is surprisingly watchable pulp. It comes to life when the great white shark gets involved, who (ironically) acts the cast out of the water. Some genuine tension and competent camerawork elevates it above the pitfalls common to the genre. find out more...
