Michelle breaks up with her boyfriend and, in a panicked drive interstate, ends up unconcious in her vehicle by the side of the road. The third of the 'Dead or Alive' trilogy is set in a post-apocalyptic Yokohama where the population is kept under rigid control by a lunatic gay mayor. A sub-Bladerunner actioner, beautifully shot and technically crafted with some quality fight scenes, but too many longeurs, an unfocused plot and rather shallow characters. Having said which, a number of sci-fi buffs have really enjoyed this story of functionalised humans struggling to get in touch with their emotions in the bleak future world that Ridley Scott created in aforementioned movie.
