A strange, beautiful film. We watch mother and son as they go about their peculiar daily routine, and we see a dead child in the ocean. It's unnerving and, somehow, everything seems eerily sexual, too. Then we are invited to go underwater where we get a closer look at the strange story science and earth have to tell. The most perverse Frankenstein flick ever. Incest, necrophilia and yards of technicolour entrails. Stomach-churning! find out more...

A grim and harrowing account of the daily life of a serial killer. If you can stomach the violence, it is well worth watching. The main criticism is that things are seen only from one point of view, which can be limiting. Now available uncut. find out more...

Playing against time, like Memento, this is a gut wrenching exploration of an horrific act of indiscriminate brutality and the vicious revenge that is its consequence. Irreversible is an exceptionally powerful movie and one of the most disturbing pieces of cinema I've ever seen (the tortuously protracted rape scene would have Ghandi screaming for the death penalty). Awesome....but you have been warned. find out more...

Susan's life is all artifice. When her ex-husband sends her his new novel, she discovers his festering misogyny anew. A violent thriller wrapped within a story about empty souls and hateful people, violence is everywhere in Tom Ford's new nightmare, Nocturnal Animals. Beautifully styled and composed, the setting is stunning even if the material is horrific.
