One of the few Chan movies that can stand on its own even if you excised the action sequences! Great period flavor of a 1930's gangster film is a faithful retelling of Frank Capra's Lady for a Day. Except with fistfights! Comedic situations and a musical number with the radiant Anita Mui occupy most of the screentime, but the few action set pieces are all among the best of Chan's career.
