SLITHER (2006)
Certification15 Our Rating
A slimy businessman turns into a gross food-binging fat piece of mutant tentacled squid when he is infested with a sluglike creature that fell from outer space. Henceforth slugs spew forth and turn into zombies all that they catch. This is an hilarious bit of fun, a great tribute to 50s sci fi movies, Cronenberg's Shivers, 80s gross-out movies and zombie flicks generally. Watch and enjoy.

In 1984 the law officially recognised 40-odd titles as so-called "Video-nasties" but by the year 2000, as audiences become more and more de-sensitised to bloody carnage and brutal violence, most have been released and often in uncut form as with this gruesome gem from one of the masters of down-and-dirty horror, Lucio Fulci. It certainly is gory and horror fans will relish the opportunity to watch this now legal classic complete with the infamous eye vs wooden splinter scene!
