A remarkable film which combines animation in the best American tradition with real live actors - all bound together in an archetypal Private Dick plot. Bob Hoskins is marvellous as the detective who has to cope with the peculiarities of the Toons. Anyone who has ever enjoyed a cartoon will love this.
