Inspector Gadget comes in the form of Matthew Broderick, while the outrageously camp (oh..and evil) Dr Claw is played by Rupert Everett. There are some impressive special effects and how Inspector Gadget became inspector "Gadget" is fully explained. Bar that, it's just your old terribly good guy versus your terribly naughty guy scenario.
