Determined to make her his Nestor plays a batty old lord and sets about wooing Irma, unfortunately again, she then falls for his alter ego and not him. 'Irma La Douce' is a hugely enjoyable comedy, very much in the tradition of Wilder and Lemmon's well trodden partnership.
