Taisto Kasurinen is a Finnish coal miner whose father has just committed suicide, a misery compounded when he is then framed for a crime he did not commit. Perhaps THE classic film noir, made in a studio in 6 days on a minimal budget. Fatalistic narrator Neal is hitching west to catch up with his girlfriend when his lift drops dead on him.
